Durbin abuse case not verified

Remember the gut wrenching speech by Dick (The Turbin) Durbin

Military investigators did not substantiate major charges of prisoner abuse contained in one FBI agent's e-mail that was read on the Senate floor by Minority Whip Richard J. Durbin as an example of U.S.-sanctioned torture at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The unnamed FBI agent wrote that she saw one al Qaeda suspect lying in his own excrement, that he had pulled out his own hair and that he had no food and water. The female agent also said he was shackled to the floor and subjected to loud rock music and to extreme temperatures.

Mr. Durbin, of Illinois and the Senate's No. 2 Democrat, read the e-mail June 14 in a speech attacking the Bush administration. He then likened Guantanamo interrogation techniques to the Nazis, Josef Stalin's prisoner gulag, Pol Pot and the internment of Japanese during World War II. He later issued an apology on the Senate floor.

That investigation was completed last week by Air Force Lt. Gen. Randall M. Schmidt, who commands the 12th Air Force, the air component of U.S. Southern Command, which oversees the 520-inmate prison at the U.S. Naval Base at Guantanamo.

Gen. Schmidt wrote in his report, "Another FBI agent stated she witnessed a detainee short shackled and lying in his own excrement. The [investigation] was unable to find any documentation, testimony, or other evidence corroborating the third agent's recollection to this allegation or her e-mail allegation that one of the detainees had pulled his hair out while short shackled."

His statements were widely quoted by the Arab media including al-Jazeera. That is appropriate considering that both parties would be equally as likely to give America the benefit of the doubt.

Al Jazeera: U.S. Soldiers Killed the 32 Children*

Who was responsible for killing 32 Iraqi children lined up to get candy from members of the United States military? Al Qaida in Iraq claims they were not at fault. Al Jazeera* has found out who is responsible; the United States military (via Ace).

Iraqi experts are saying that the recent car bomb that killed some 18 children was not the work of the anti-occupation fighters but of the U.S. occupation troops.

A traffic lieutenant who asked not to be identified said to a media source that U.S. solders crazily raced out of the street less than a minute before the explosion and that after the blast they did not return to the bomb scene but continued to hurry out of the area.

Yes, the United States military drove a car into a crowded pack of children and right next to other United States soldiers to detonate an explosive. Instead of yelling out "Allah Akhbar" they yelled "Git'r'done!"

Perhaps the soldiers were tyring to secure the perimeter or they were wary of a second attack as has been the case on several occassions? Nah, for Al Jazeera* it's better to go ahead and print conspiracy theories as truth only when that conspiracy theory damages the enemy. Logic need not apply.

*As alerted by The Commissar, Aljazeera.com is not the same as Al Jazeera the Arab media station.

Report: British Allowed Terrorists to Operate Freely Within UK

A new report from Chatham House (The Royal Institute of International Affairs) bluntly accuses British intelligence and counter-terrorist organizations of knowingly allowing Middle Eastern terrorist groups to operate freely within the United Kingdom. It directly contradicts statements made earlier by Lord Chancellor Charles Falconer and characterizes the UK as a base for international terrorism:

By the mid-1990s the UK's intelligence agencies and the police were well aware that London was increasingly being used as a base by individuals involved in promoting, funding and planning terrorism in the Middle East and elsewhere. However, these individuals were not viewed as a threat to the UK's national security, and so they were left to continue their activities with relative impunity, a policy which caused much anger among the foreign governments concerned. As a result of giving lower priority to international terrorism, the British authorities did not fully appreciate the threat from Al-Qaeda. The failure to gain any warning from existing information of the 9/11 attacks on the United States was an intelligence failure of the entire Western alliance, not only of the US intelligence community.
In other words, the report implies that the British were derelict in their duty by allowing radical Islamists within the UK to incite and organize violence against the West.

U.S. Treasury Department: Abdurahman Alamoudi Raised Money for al Qaeda in the U.S. – Revelation Called 'Stunning' (Updated)

Stunning you say, absolutely stunning. It can't be true, not THAT Abdurahman Alamoudi, the man who "portrayed himself as a “moderate Muslim” who served as a liaison between the U.S. government and American Muslims for two decades.

You can't possibly believe that a founder of the American Muslim Council (AMC), a Wahabi front, who played a key role in developing the Pentagon's Muslim chaplain program, who represented the State Department and attended meetings at the White House spanning two administrations, could possibly be an al Qaeda sympathizer and a terrorist.

However, on the other hand, remember what President George Bush said on November 21, 2001:

"If you harbor terrorists, you are terrorists. If you train or arm a terrorist, you are a terrorist. If you feed a terrorist or fund a terrorist, you're a terrorist, and you will be held accountable by the United States and our friends."

Well then, yes, I do think you'd have to refer to our "moderate Muslim" friend as a terrorist. Of course that means that either moderate Muslims can also be terrorists, ergo there are not really any moderate Muslims, or that Abdurahman Alamoudi wasn't a moderate Muslim and that his life as one was a subterfuge, and further, moderate Muslims can and, most likely, do indeed exist.

Well, I choose to believe that moderate Muslims do exist but that many apparently moderate Muslims choose to live a life of subterfuge in order to further the radical Islamic agenda, and that those Muslims, are not moderates but are indeed terrorists living among us who have and continue to attempt to, infiltrate our government and subvert our laws and culture to facilitate the establishment of Islamic law in the U.S.. A fabrication you say! Lets look at some facts:

First of all, the Northeast Intelligence Network, in it's article on the Almoudi revelation, writes:

(...) Pioneers in the research and investigation of Islamic terrorism such as Steve Emerson, Daniel Pipes, Bruce Tefft and others exposed the true nature of the “moderate” Alamoudi long before his arrest in September 2003 on multiple terrorism related financing charges. Convicted in 2004, the most recent allegation of Abdurahman Alamoudi raising money for al Qaeda while rubbing elbows with the Washington elite continues to boggle the mind of any reasonable person as it well should.
In other words, the fact that Abdurahman Alamoudi was a moderate in disquise, while really living a life of subterfuge and hiding the fact that he was a terrorist, should not have been a surprise.

But it's a fluke you say, just a fluke. A rare bad apple in the batch. I say that's nonsense! more...

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday SUNDAY!!!!!!

Well itÂ’s Sunday again. IÂ’ve said before that I will do a Sunday thing so now I have to live up to that. First of all Howie is pretty much pooped. So bear with me I debated doing a post or not but I said I would so here goes.

Not too far off on my 7/3 Sunday entry it was Thursday instead of Tuesday. Lucky guess huh? Been looking around the news outlets and the blogoshere this week. Pretty dull if you aren’t interested in “The Rove Affair”. Just what are they trying to drown out? Well it turns out quite a bit of good news in the world this week. The terrorists are on an all out blitz. See suddenly now the shoe is on the other foot. For a bit there it seemed that we were shooting ourselves in the foot every week. Mr. Murphy has gone over to the terrorist’s side for a bit. I’m sure he’ll be back now and then. I read yesterday of a push by the terrorists to take Baghdad. Every attack they kill like one or two soldiers and 20 to 50 Iraqi’s. Time is showing them for what they are. They now know they cannot win the political war and are resorting to trying to win now win big. The tool of terrorism has become a lead weight on their necks. That’s it boys shoot yourselves in the foot some more. Heck, even a Nigerian email scammer got time this week. Can there be any doubt.

I would not want to downplay the real feeling I had this week about a downhill run here. But a cornered animal is the most dangerous. The enemy has run himself into a corner and now people everywhere are starting to turn against him. Britain is going to become more active, Muslims themselves are turning away from bombing innocents to a certain extent knowing the evil is just too obvious to deny any longer. Yes a good battle for the hearts and minds this week. We've won that one this month so far. Feels good. I see President Bush is allowing aid Directly to Palestine and they are right now being tested to see if they can make it work. Things have been going well there and terrorist groups who get their power from the conflict are trying to stop it. Israel is also stepping up its pressure. I hope the Palestinian Authority can prevail here the wind seems right. My fear is that too much Israeli pressure plays into the terroristÂ’s strategy.

Got some links & stuff IÂ’ve saved up for a few days. Good and bad mostly good news followed by the terrorist shooting themselves in the foot again trying to take it back. DonÂ’t let them.

A good essay on Marketplace that IÂ’ve got to listen to again and learn more about by Stanford Unger. Some freedom of speech issues there to look into.

Also IÂ’ve been catching a good portion of 102 Minutes a book about the 9/11 hijackings that is so far pretty good. Still plenty left on Radio Reader. WKMS does streaming IÂ’m not sure how many steams they can do. The show airs weekdays at 6:30 CDT. Good book.

A fine example of how the world is getting harder for the enemy. Yes they are falling out of fashion because now at long last even our oldest and most fickle ally France yes can you believe it France is getting on board.

USS Neverdock has more on that one.

Yes Muslims too.

The economy is on the mend and dong well as is the Federal Deficit. Definitely not as fun as the Rove thing but vastly more important.

From my Illinois Republican newsletter.

"DEFICIT FALLING. The White House reported this week that the deficit is falling and will continue to fall due to strong economic policy, which has generated much higher than expected tax revenues. As a result, this year's budget will fall to $333 billion which is $79 billion less than in 2004 and $94 billion less than forecasted by the Bush Administration in February. The White House now expects the deficit to decline to 1.1% of gross domestic product by 2009. Currently it sits at 2.7% of GDP (RNC Research 7/15/05)"
Yeah I know but I used em last week too.

What does our enemy think about all this. Well they are really pushing. Up to 10 car bombs in one day. One attack I read of had two US dead and twenty innocents. They are letting off bombs like there is no tomorrow. I can see why. He has to win now and canÂ’t. So you are going to see more stories like this one from fear mongers ABCNEWS.
The Sadam Charges are OK but the Iraq bombing summary is pretty rough.

Also worth worrying about this week is Dictator Hugo Chavez. He has recently imported millions of guns for his military while at the same time moving to take them from citizens. This guy is consolidating power. Here you go YBP IÂ’m sure youÂ’re intrested.

"Venezuela's highest Catholic prelate on Sunday condemned President Hugo Chavez's rule as a dictatorship and urged Venezuelans to reject it in an attack likely to strain already poor church-government ties."
Given the desperation of our enemy I would think this summer we all need to keep an eye out. I check out the Northeast Intelligence network every week or so. This week the chatter is pretty serious looking forward for the summer. Remember the enemy needs this one. If they have no spectacular success and the current tactics keep going like the London bombings or Iraqi bombings itÂ’s just a matter of time. They are loosing and are desperate to get it back. What a difference a couple weeks can make.

IÂ’ll be out Monday so guest posters are welcome as Rusty indicated. With my Master absent I can use all the help I can get. IÂ’ll be available by email this week. And you guys behave Mad Dog is watching. IÂ’m such a push over and he isnÂ’t. Have a great week IÂ’ll be back now and then and on Wednesday. With Rusty out IÂ’ll try and keep an eye on things. Time for a glass of that fine wine I made. Yes the little woman and I are going to have a glass.

I shall not fear. Fear is the mind killer. Yes guys feel free to add to that one in comments. Be good.

Blogger Gets Fatwah/Death Threat

I've insulted, desecrated, blasphemed, begged, and pleaded for a fatwa for well-over a year now and how do the Islamofascist pigs pay me back? By giving this guy a fatwa!! I am soooo jealous of Chris Byrne of The Anarchangel blog. The FBI contacted him a couple of days ago and told him they had credible evidence of a plot against his life made on Arabic websites. In the next post he warns whatever misunderstanderer of the RoP that had issued the fatwa that he owns a gun and will use it (picture of said gun here). In this post he reveals that the FBI told him that it was a Palestinian terrorist organization in Europe that had targetted him for Team Infidel's Koran desecration work.

This is my kinda guy! How come I'm not on your blogroll, man? It would be kinda like getting a fatwa by association or something. And as the proud owner of the Flush the Koran blog and the originator of the Karnival of the Koran Krapping let me say how disappointed I am that no one invited me to join Team Infidel!! For that, I issue a fatwa on you Chris Byrne. A fatwa on all of you Team Infidel!!

Hat tip: Gaijin Biker, Ryan, and David Gulliver for caring enough about my fatwa obsession to e-mail me this.

On a related note I just received the following e-mail from CAIR. It looks like it will be another 8-10 weeks before I can desecrate the Koran again...... more...

Tony Blair' Speech: Genius & Jawa Report Reader

Apologies to the Lord of Moons (aka, Allah) for breaking my Sabbath commitment today but Tony Blair gave a speech yesterday that literally had my jaw dropping. My wife was stunned that I used a profanity, something I never do around the house, when I said something like, "Holy shit, Tony Blair is the first politician I've ever heard who actually gets it." And his speech was so close to something I had just written the day before that I can't help but think that Tony Blair, or one of his speechwriters, reads The Jawa Report.

Here is the text of the most honest and amazing speech I've heard from a politician since 9/11. Not only does it correctly identify the war as one not against terror but against an evil fascist ideology but was also given with courage and conviction. Tony Blair's speech, in my mind, is right up there with John F. Kennedy's innagural in which he warned "every nation...whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty."

Text of Blair's speech. Read it all: more...

Wow. After looking over the site it’s clear that if this guy created it he is making an effort to sound like a moron here. It’s very slick, very innocent looking. The are several areas including an “Islamic corner”. Also it has a separate area for women that you must email the site master to get access too. Hmmm. I wonder what other areas might be there that don’t show on the front page. Hmm. Where’s all the Arabic text. Hmmmm.. I’m not sure what this site is but someone was calling our attention to it for whatever reason. Well I guess it does not matter I’ve got everything including the IP address where the post was sent from.

Be aware of traps, gentlemen and good hunting Pajamahadeen.

While I was too dense to link to the page this does link to the Jawa archive for August 2004. Then search for 08/22 I will also post most of the entry below the break.

Annoy A Terrorist

Armies of Liberation.

What an apt name. Over and over again, Jane Novak invades the nation of Yemen, not by force of arms, but with the power of 21st century instant communication.

Somewhere, Joan of Arc is smiling. So is the blog grandfather.

Despite what you've been told, the government of Yemen is no ally of the United States.

For whatever reason, the Yemeni government's duplicity has, aside from Jane's tireless efforts, so far managed to escape scrutiny by the world at large. It has to stop.

"Hey, bonehead, that's nice, how do we get to annoy the terrorist?"

Read this post from Jane.

Look for a comment by "Amin Al-Sharaabi." Call him names. Give him the verbal finger.

As an added bonus, he put his email in the comment.

And as I well know, Jawa readers love to email terrorists.

UpDaTe: greg, I said what I meant and I meant what I said.

uPdAtE II: I'm going with Dean on this one, if you have a blog, link and t/b to Jane's post. Let's give this a Technorati boost. And an ecosystem boost as well. The Yemeni government needs to be shown for the Islamotards that they are.

ETAdpu III: Apparently, the goat molesting little Islamotard wanna be jihadi's email is a dead one. Mine got returned. But keep those comments on Jane's post a-flowing.

Magdy Elnasher

Here's some information regarding Elnasher's life that is worth knowing. Magdy Elnasher was born in 1972 in Egypt.

1994
Graduated from Cairo University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree,

1998
Received Masters in Science in Organic Chemistry from Cairo University,

1999-2000
Studied chemical engineering at North Carolina State University,

2000-present
University of Leeds, UK, Postgraduate.

Elnasher's schooling has put him at the forefront of study in the fields of biological catalysts and enzyme immobilization.

To refresh everyone's memory, enzymes are protein substances that act as triggers for various biological processes. So, Elnasher's expertise appears to be associated with seemingly mundane applications like improving water treatment facilities or manufacturing processes that rely on enzymatic actions.

With regard to my previously-stated bother, if Elnasher, as a terrorist, wanted to apply this expert knowledge, he could, but only in a convoluted manner. I believe that a biological threat could only exist if Elnasher was working out of his house or in a garage creating something nefarious. His line of study and work does not lend itself to anything other than access to chemicals and biologicals for easy theft. To put anything together, he'd need a lab - and time.

One other thing - Elnasher has some sort of link with the University of Graz in Austria which is associated with his biochemical work.

All in all, I'm somewhat comforted by the fact that there have been no reports of a laboratory being found in the investigation by the British authorities. Without one - somewhere - I don't see Elnasher's biochemical expertise being a threat right now. Of course, don't trust me. I'm just a guy with a computer.

Rusty from another mother

I was just surfing through bookmarks to see what interesting tidbits I could find. Some of you may have heard Rusty Humphries before. Well he got a call from a gentleman from Florida of Iranian descent. The gentleman says itÂ’s likely that there are terrorists in the US. How does he know??

Paraphrased quote from a caller on Mr Humpries show on 7/14/05.

“There are fifty new mosques in the state of Florida alone in the last 10 years. They preach hate there to the Pakistanis to hate us as Americans and I know because I’m an ex-Muslim”
Link to Mr. Humphries' site.

Four More 7/7 Suspects Arrested in Pakistan

Not the Pakistan? There's got to be another Pakistan cause, the way I hear it, Pakistan is a moderate Islamic country. Oh, and despite the fact that an al Qaeda cell took credit for the mass-murders, the MSM is now reporting as news that al Qaeda may have been involved. Brilliant. MSNBC:

Meanwhile, officials have continued to expand their search to include the possibility that there was a link between the four suicide bombers and al-Qaida.

A police official in Faisalabad, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters Friday that "security agencies have picked up four people. They were taken to an undisclosed location, but we were not involved in this operation."

On a serious note, Pakistan is our ally in the war on terror. Not because they are a democracy, but because they are not. If the Afghanistan invasion taught the Pakistani state one thing it was that cooperation with the U.S. against al Qaeda is the safe route to survival. However, the vast majority of Pakistanis support the work of al Qaeda and Pakistan remains a state which claims to derive its legitimacy from Islam.

More on the Pakistani connection here.

Pulp Nonfiction

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
